World AI Week workshop at EDGE Workspaces Olympic on accounting for the real environmental, social and economic cost of AI systems, ending with a build exercise attendees can apply at work.
Launchpads AI runs this hands-on evening workshop as part of World AI Week, opening the week's fringe programme.
The session works through the actual cost of building and running AI products rather than treating it as an abstraction: environmental footprint, social cost, and the economics that show up on a real budget. It then moves into efficient usage practices and a build exercise producing something attendees can take directly back to work.
The format is participatory rather than lecture-led, and refreshments are included.
The workshop runs under the Ladies Build With AI banner and gives priority to women, but it is explicitly open to all. Tickets are EUR 12.50.
