AI IRL Social — WilCo AI Lab
About this event
WilCo AI Lab's in-person AI social for the Williamson County side of the metro, this time at Red Horn Brewery in Leander — builders, business owners, operators and curious newcomers, no technical background assumed.
AI conversation, north of the city
WilCo AI Lab's premise is that AI is moving fast while most people are still working it out alone. AI IRL Social exists to move that conversation into a room — specifically a room in Williamson County, where there is far less AI programming than downtown Austin.
Who it is for
The organizers are explicit that you need be neither technical nor an expert. The room tends to mix people building with Claude Code, Codex and agents; business owners using ChatGPT to claw back time; and people who have simply decided the shift is too big to ignore. WilCo AI Lab frames itself as building a long-term local community around practical AI learning and real-world experimentation rather than staging one-off talks.
Practical details
- When: Monday, September 14, 4:30–6:30 p.m.
- Where: Red Horn Brewery & Roastery, 1615 Scottsdale Drive, Leander — roughly 25 miles northwest of downtown Austin
- Cost: Free, no approval step; RSVP through Luma
Note that this series moves venue between occurrences — an earlier edition met at Pinthouse Pizza in Leander — so check the listing rather than assuming a fixed home. There is no speaker or agenda: it is a social, and the value is in who turns up. Worth knowing if you live in the northern suburbs and have been driving downtown for every AI meetup.
Organized by
A Williamson County community north of Austin building a local network around practical AI — in-person socials and experimentation sessions for builders, business owners, operators, and newcomers, explicitly aimed at non-technical as well as technical attendees.
