AIMUG Monthly Mixer & Showcase
About this event
Austin LangChain’s August meetup combines community presentations, agentic-software demonstrations, technical Q&A, and networking for local AI builders.
August mixer and showcase
AIMUG — the Austin LangChain + AI Middleware Users Group — brings local developers together for compact technical talks, live demonstrations, open questions, and informal conversation about building agentic applications. The recurring program covers multi-agent architectures, middleware patterns, LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith workflows, DeepAgents, and real application building. Many presenters are heavy Claude Code users and the group regularly digs into how developers fold it into agent workflows.
This session was rescheduled twice during planning — first from Wednesday, August 5, then to Monday, August 10 — before settling on Tuesday, August 11. The organizer's Meetup and Luma listings now both show that date and a 6:00 p.m. start, so the earlier discrepancy between the two is resolved.
Run of show
- 6:00–6:20 p.m. — Networking and welcome
- 6:20–6:30 p.m. — Community intros and agenda
- 6:30–7:40 p.m. — Four 15-minute "thunderstorm" talks
- 7:40–8:00 p.m. — Buffer and open Q&A; the venue clears by 8:30
Held at ACC Rio Grande Campus, Building 3000, 1218 West Avenue, hosted by the Center for Government & Civic Service. The organizers walk to an after-party at The Tavern, 922 W 12th Street. Free to attend.
