Austin Robotics Paper Club
About this event
PyTorch ATX convenes a guided reading and technical discussion of AlexNet, the influential neural-network paper that helped reshape modern computer vision.
July paper discussion
The Austin Robotics Paper Club will examine the AlexNet paper and its role in the rise of modern deep learning for image classification. The session begins with a short overview of the ImageNet dataset, followed by a guided discussion of the model’s architecture, training code, experimental results, and lasting influence.
Reading in advance is encouraged but not required; the first 15 minutes are reserved for catching up on the paper. The group meets from 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Organized by
Austin's PyTorch users group — technical talks and demos on deep learning, robotics, and edge inference.
