Pediatric to Adult Cardio A.I. Conference: Digital Twins

ConferenceAdvancedResearchersBusinessDevelopers

About this event

A three-day Austin conference on AI, machine learning and digital-twin modelling in cardiovascular care, convened by UT's Oden Institute with Dell Medical School and Dell Children's Ascension.

Digital twins for the heart

This three-day conference brings computational scientists and clinicians into the same room around a specific proposition: that AI, machine learning, advanced imaging and digital twin modelling are changing how cardiovascular disease is understood and treated, across the whole span from paediatric to adult care.

A cardiac digital twin is a patient-specific computational model — a simulation of an individual heart, built from that patient's imaging and clinical data, that can be used to test interventions before they happen. Getting these from research prototypes into clinical practice is as much an implementation problem as a modelling one, and the programme is built around that gap.

Who convenes it

An unusual three-way collaboration between the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, Dell Medical School, and Dell Children's Ascension — which is what makes the room genuinely mixed rather than either purely clinical or purely computational. Sessions cover implementation strategy and cardiac intelligence applications alongside the research itself.
