A free public workshop at Windsor Park Library exploring current AI capabilities and possible near-term effects on jobs, crime, relationships, and society.

Beginner-friendly AI forecasting workshop

This confirmed August occurrence introduces nontechnical attendees to recent advances in artificial intelligence and asks what further progress over the next one to five years could mean for daily life. Topics include employment, AI-enabled scams and hacking, relationships with AI companions, and wider social change.

The program uses live demonstrations and interactive forecasting exercises rather than requiring prior technical knowledge. It runs from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Windsor Park Branch of Austin Public Library.
