A selective two day build at Glasswing Ventures' Back Bay office, with a grand prize of $300,000 in compute credits. Teams of up to four are judged on technical execution and commercial viability, with sponsored compute and engineering support from AWS, Microsoft and TensorWave.
Glasswing Ventures runs this hackathon out of its own Back Bay office, and the prize structure tells you what kind of weekend it is: the grand prize is $300,000 in compute credits, not a novelty cheque.
Format
Day one runs 9:30am to 8:00pm, day two 9:30am to 5:30pm. Code freeze lands Sunday at 2pm, followed by live demos and awards. Teams cap at four people, and solo applicants are matched into teams by the organisers, so applying alone is fine.
The theme is enterprise-ready AI: build something a real company would actually deploy. Judging criteria are stated as measurable return on investment and a credible path to production, with the judge panel still to be announced.
Support on site
AWS, Microsoft Azure and TensorWave provide compute credits, on-site engineering and mentors. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided both days.
Getting in
Attendance is free but selective. One application per person, reviewed on a rolling basis, and the organisers say every applicant is contacted by email either way. Two application routes exist, the Luma page and a form linked from the Glasswing site. Note that Luma hides the street address until your application is approved.
Organized by
Boston-based early stage venture capital firm investing in AI and frontier technology companies, with a focus on enterprise and security software. The firm runs technical community programming from its Back Bay office, including a selective annual AI hackathon backed by cloud and compute sponsors.
