Chicago Build 2026: AI & Digital Construction Track
About this event
A free two-day conference track at McCormick Place on applied AI in the built environment, covering agentic AI in architecture, data center demand, construction automation and AI tooling for residential builders.
Chicago Build returns to McCormick Place with a dedicated AI and Digital Construction track running across both days of the show, alongside the main exhibition floor.
This is a trade show rather than a research conference, but the 2026 AI track is substantive and session-level specific rather than a keyword sprinkle.
Wednesday October 28, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Construction tech trends to watch in 2027 at 10:00, Agentic Architecture: Hiring AI Agents in AEC at 11:00, digital-era collaboration at 12:00, digital twins at 1:00, a practical digital construction demo hour at 2:00, Keeping Up with AI: The Growing Demand of Data Centers at 3:00, proptech at 4:00, and constructing with the human touch in the AI era at 4:50.
Thursday October 29, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. AI tools for modern residential builders at 10:00, Data-Driven Construction and AI Integration at 11:00, VR and VDC integration at 12:00, building an intelligent organization at 1:00, Robots, AI and Reality: Construction Automation at 3:00, and upskilling for the future at 3:50.
The data center session is worth flagging for a broader AI audience: the compute buildout is a construction story in Chicago as much as a silicon one.
Registration is free. The venue is Hall F2 in the West Building, Level 3. Note that Chicago Build has published conflicting building assignments across its own pages in the past, so confirm the hall on your badge confirmation before travelling.
