A free public talk at the University of Chicago's John Crerar Library from Notre Dame computer scientist Meng Jiang, part of the weekly Schmidt AI in Science series on AI-driven work across the physical and biological sciences.
The Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship Program at the University of Chicago hosts Meng Jiang, Associate Professor and Frank M. Freimann Collegiate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame.
The Schmidt AI in Science Speaker Series runs weekly through the academic year and showcases researchers presenting AI-driven developments across the physical sciences, biological sciences and engineering. It is one of the more consistently strong technical venues in Chicago for people who want research-level AI content rather than industry framing.
Format. Light refreshments from 3:45 pm, the talk itself from 4:00 to 4:45 pm, then Q&A from 4:45 to 5:00 pm.
