About this event

London Mathematical Society research colloquium on machine learning for PhD students, postdocs and other attendees, featuring talks on neural simulation-based inference, Gaussian-process VAEs and reinforcement learning.

The London Mathematical Society’s Computer Science Colloquium focuses this year on theory and practice of machine learning. It is aimed primarily at PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, while welcoming other attendees. The in-person meeting takes place at De Morgan House, with a separate remote Zoom option available.

The published programme includes Francois-Xavier Briol on neural simulation-based inference, Mauricio Álvarez on scalable Gaussian Process Variational Autoencoders, and Özgür Şimşek on temporal abstraction in reinforcement learning. The timetable begins with welcome and refreshments at 10:00 and ends at 16:00. Speakers and timings remain subject to change.
