Three-day, hands-on legal-tech and AI startup weekend at UC San Diego where participants pitch ideas, form teams, build prototypes and present to judges, with mentors supporting founders, designers, developers and lawyers.
UC San Diego Horizon and Techstars Startup Weekend bring builders, designers, lawyers, operators and students together for an intensive weekend of legal-tech prototyping. The central question is how AI and software can make legal systems and services more usable, from practical tools for tenants and small businesses to systems that help reduce backlogs.
Participants pitch ideas, form teams, validate concepts and build a prototype before presenting to a judging panel. Mentors and coaches work alongside teams throughout. The program opens Friday evening and concludes with final pitches and awards on Sunday. It is held in UC San Diego's Design and Innovation Building.
