A one-day in-person buildathon where teams of 2 to 5 deploy an open model for a chosen task, build their own eval, and show the quality and efficiency tradeoffs, with $10,000 first prize and an NVIDIA DGX Spark.
Fireworks, with Microsoft and NVIDIA as co-hosts, runs a buildathon in Rincon Hill. Teams pick a task, deploy an open model for it, build an eval on their own, synthetic or public data, and measure tradeoffs such as quality versus efficiency against a baseline while showing business value. Prizes are $10,000, $5,000 and $3,000 plus an NVIDIA DGX Spark.
Schedule from the Luma page (subject to change): doors 9:00 AM, build from 10:30 AM, submissions close 4:30 PM, demos and awards at 7:00 PM. Food and drinks are provided. Every participant must register and be approved; the exact address is shown to approved guests.
