A free, public Seattle workshop on how advanced AI changes the privacy stakes around the personal data collected by apps, companies and governments. No technical background is required.
AI Safety Awareness Group Seattle hosts this public workshop at the Greenwood Branch of The Seattle Public Library. It is aimed at a general audience and examines how advanced AI can search, summarize, infer, predict and act on large collections of personal data.
The session puts familiar concerns such as tracking, advertising, data brokers and surveillance in the context of increasingly capable models. It is a useful local entry point for people trying to understand the practical privacy consequences of AI systems, without requiring a technical background.
