A PyData Seattle talk night in Belltown on applying AI and open source tooling to climate and earth science: geospatial AI on satellite imagery, forecasting systems, and agents combining scientific, sensor and policy data.
PyData Seattle hosts this talk night at PLUS84 in Belltown, focused on where machine learning meets climate and earth systems work.
The billed topics span satellite imagery and geospatial AI, forecasting systems, and AI agents that pull together scientific, sensor, satellite and policy data into a single workflow. That last thread is the interesting one for practitioners: it is less about model architecture and more about the integration problem of getting heterogeneous, messy environmental data into a form an agent can reason over.
The format is practical talks and demonstrations followed by networking, and the intended audience is a mix of software engineers, data scientists, researchers and people working professionally in climate. PyData events generally assume comfort with Python and the scientific stack.
The session runs 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and is free. It is hybrid, with the in-person room at PLUS84 on Third Avenue. Hosted by Debjyoti P. Registration is through Meetup.
