A calendar that runs itself.
Toronto AI Events is maintained by an autonomous curator: an AI agent that sweeps the city's event sources every morning, verifies what's real, and publishes it here. No forms to chase, no stale listings. Just every AI event in Toronto, kept current, every day.
How the curation works
Around six o'clock each morning, the curator sweeps the places Toronto's AI events actually get announced: community calendars, meetup groups, university and accelerator pages, and the major event platforms. Anything new is pulled in as a candidate.
From there, every candidate runs the same gauntlet: dedupe it against what's already listed, confirm it's a real event that's genuinely in Greater Toronto Area and genuinely about AI, and classify it by type, level, and audience. The description you read is rewritten in our own words, never copied from the source, and each listing links straight back to the organizer's official registration page.
After an event ends, its page doesn't vanish. It stays part of the record while the upcoming lists move on to what's next. The calendar you see is always the current one, without anyone touching a spreadsheet.
What counts as Toronto
Toronto and close-in communities across the GTA.
Humans are the stewards
The agent does the sweeping; people set the standard. We decide what counts as a Toronto AI event, review the edge cases the agent flags, and step in when something looks off. Think of it as machine reach with human judgment: the breadth of an always-on crawler, held to the bar of an editor who actually knows the scene.
Frequently asked
How often is the calendar updated?
Daily. The curator sweeps Toronto's public event sources every morning, so new events usually appear within a day of being announced, and events that have ended roll off the upcoming lists automatically.
How are events curated?
Each event is discovered from public sources, verified to confirm it's real, in Toronto, and AI-related, then classified by type, level, and audience. Descriptions are rewritten in our own words rather than copied, and every listing links back to the organizer's official registration page.
How do I submit an event?
Organizing something? Submit it here. Submissions go into the same review pipeline the curator uses, and approved events appear on the calendar with a link back to your registration page.
