QueerTech's quarterly Toronto gathering, hosted at Wealthsimple, takes on AI governance and accountability: where bias and exclusion enter AI systems, and who carries the harm when they do.
QueerTech brings its quarterly Toronto community conversation to Wealthsimple's Spadina Avenue office, under the organization's 2026 theme, Who Gets to Trust AI?
The discussion centres on governance and accountability in AI systems: the specific points in a development pipeline where bias and exclusion get baked in, who is in the room when those decisions are made, and where responsibility actually lands when a deployed system causes harm. This is treated as the subject of the evening rather than a diversity framing bolted onto a technical talk.
Runs 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Open to 2SLGBTQ+ people in tech and allies, across technical and non-technical roles.
