5:30 PM – 7:30 PM EST
Multimodal Ingest and NASA’s Real-Time Search Archive with Elasticsearch
About this event
An Arlington technical meetup on bringing multimodal content into Elasticsearch with Apache Tika, followed by a case study of NASA’s real-time search and retrieval archive built with Elastic, AWS and S3.
You Know, for Search hosts an evening for Washington-area engineers working at the intersection of search, data infrastructure and AI-adjacent retrieval systems.
Tim Allison of Elastic will discuss multimodal ingest with Apache Tika and Elasticsearch. Tom Barber of Concept to Cloud then walks through how NASA built a real-time search and retrieval archive using Elastic, AWS and S3. The technical programme is followed by informal networking, pizza and refreshments.
Doors open at 5:30 PM at Elastic’s Arlington office. Talks begin at 6:00 PM, with networking again after the second presentation. Registration was open on the official event page when this listing was verified.
