Two-day interdisciplinary conference at Felix Meritis from the University of Amsterdam's Law Centre for Health and Life, on governing AI in healthcare across law, medicine, ethics and technology.
The Law Centre for Health and Life at the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Law convenes a two-day conference at Felix Meritis on how algorithmic systems in healthcare should be governed.
The programme spans:
- Health equity and fairness in clinical AI
- AI regulation and compliance, including the European regulatory picture
- Data protection and accountability in care settings
- Ethical design in medical technologies
- Patient rights when decisions are AI-assisted
The format mixes presentations, workshops and panels, drawing participants from law, medicine, ethics and computer science. The call for abstracts closed in May 2026 and the detailed schedule is published closer to the date.
The conference is supported by ELSA AI for Health Equity, the UvA Research Priority Area on AI for Health Decision-Making, and NWO. Registration runs through aanmelder.nl. Daily start and end times and any registration fee were not published at the time of listing.
