AI IRL Social — WilCo AI Lab
About this event
WilCo AI Lab's in-person social for the Williamson County side of the Austin metro — builders, business owners, creatives and newcomers comparing notes on AI over pizza in Leander.
AI conversation, off the internet
The organizers' premise is simple: AI is moving quickly and most people are still working it out alone. AI IRL Social exists to move that conversation into a room — specifically a room north of Austin, in Williamson County, where there is far less AI programming than downtown.
WilCo AI Lab is explicit that you do not need to be technical or an expert. The room mixes people building with Claude Code, Codex, and agents; business owners using ChatGPT to save time; and people who have simply concluded the shift is too large to ignore. The group describes itself as building a long-term local community around practical AI learning and real-world experimentation rather than one-off talks.
Practical details
- When: Tuesday, August 11, 4:30–6:00 p.m.
- Where: Pinthouse Pizza, Leander — roughly 25 miles northwest of downtown Austin
- Cost: Free; RSVP through Luma
There is no speaker or agenda: this is a social, and the value is in who turns up. Worth knowing if you live in the northern suburbs and have been driving downtown for every AI meetup.
