CosmicAI's Accelerated Universe research group presents its progress update at UT Austin — the first of the institute's pillar sessions in the second half of the fall seminar series.

CosmicAI, the NSF-Simons AI Institute for Cosmic Origins at UT Austin, organizes its work into research pillars. After a first half of the semester spent on AI surrogate models for physical systems, the fall seminar series turns to progress updates from each pillar — and this session belongs to the Accelerated Universe group.
These sessions are useful precisely because they are internal-facing: rather than a polished conference talk, you get a working account of what a research group has actually built and what is still unresolved, presented to an audience that will push back.

- When: Wednesday, October 14, 1:00–2:00 p.m. Central
- Where: UT Austin, hybrid — in person plus an online option. The building and room are not published on the series page, so check the CosmicAI events page shortly before attending.
- Cost: Free, with no ticketing. Google Calendar and ICS links are provided instead of a registration form.
The seminar assumes a research-level background in machine learning or astrophysics.
