GSLI Impact Chat: Sustainability & AI
About this event
McCombs' Global Sustainability Leadership Institute devotes its fall Impact Chat to the intersection of sustainability and artificial intelligence, with dinner and networking followed by a moderated conversation and Q&A. Free, in Crum Auditorium at Rowling Hall.
Fall Impact Chat
The Global Sustainability Leadership Institute at UT Austin's McCombs School of Business runs its Impact Chat series as a single-theme evening conversation rather than a panel circuit. The fall 2026 edition takes sustainability and AI as its subject — the resource and energy questions that follow from large-scale AI deployment, and the ways AI is being turned on sustainability problems in turn.
Format
The evening opens at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and networking, followed by the moderated impact chat and an audience Q&A with the speaker. It is held in Crum Auditorium, room RRH 1.400, inside Robert B. Rowling Hall on the McCombs campus.
Before you go
The speaker has not yet been announced. The date, time, venue and topic are confirmed on the university's own events calendar and on the RSVP page, but the lineup is still to come — worth re-checking the listing closer to the date if the specific speaker matters to you. Free to attend, but an RSVP is required so catering can be planned.
Organized by
An institute at the McCombs School of Business, UT Austin, that convenes students, faculty and practitioners on the business dimensions of sustainability. Its recurring Impact Chat series pairs a dinner and networking hour with a moderated conversation and audience Q&A on a single theme.
