Hack AI September
About this event
Hack AI's monthly Austin build night moves to Station Austin: AI trivia, two short talks, then a 45-minute open hacking block where attendees work on their own projects. Free with pizza and drinks; both technical and non-technical builders welcome.
A build night, not a lecture
Hack AI runs a monthly evening for Austin-area people working on AI projects. The September session is hosted at Station Austin, 701 Brazos St, which sponsors the series — note this is a different venue from the group's August meeting.
Schedule
- 6:00–6:20pm — mingling over pizza and drinks as people arrive
- 6:20–6:30pm — organizers Bryce and Reid run through current events, including five AI trivia questions with prizes
- 6:30–7:00pm — first presentation
- 7:00–7:15pm — second presentation
- 7:15–8:00pm — hack and network: attendees collaborate on projects tied to the evening's themes or on whatever AI ideas they brought
Who it suits
The organizers explicitly welcome both technical and non-technical attendees — experienced developers, curious beginners, and people who simply want to understand where AI is landing. The closing hack block is what distinguishes this from a talk series: you are expected to open a laptop.
Free pizza, beer, soda and water are provided. Registration is free but approval-gated, so request a spot through the Luma page ahead of time rather than turning up.
Organized by
Evening build sessions where developers and students ship AI/ML projects and demo them to the room.
