Fluidstack engineers and operates large-scale GPU compute for leading AI labs — it was selected to lead Anthropic's multi-billion-dollar compute buildout, one of the largest infrastructure projects currently underway in the United States. This Austin edition of its Steel & Silicon dinner series is a seated evening built around a single question: what does it actually take to stand up city-scale power and datacenter capacity on the timelines the AI industry now demands?

The organizers make the point that this is not a single-discipline problem. Construction leads and electricians sit alongside software engineers, operators, dealmakers, and schedulers — and the guest list is assembled to reflect that mix.

• When: Thursday, August 6, 7:00–10:00 p.m.
• Cost: Free, but attendance is by application and space is limited. Attendees must be 21 or over.
• Where: The venue is disclosed to confirmed guests only — the public listing shows just "Austin, TX." Apply through the registration page to receive the location.

Be aware this is partly a hiring event. Fluidstack states plainly that it is recruiting across every department and that the dinner is intended as a way to meet the team. If you are attending purely for the technical conversation, that framing is worth knowing in advance; the substance of the evening is still AI infrastructure.
