From Idea to Publication: AI and Open Research Processes
About this event
A full-day Berlin-Mitte workshop on using AI responsibly across the research lifecycle, with hands-on sessions on agentic access, transcription, local language models and AI-era scholarly publishing.
Berlin University Alliance convenes researchers, research-support staff and open-science practitioners for a full day on AI in responsible research. The programme begins with a keynote on generative AI in scientific practice, followed by parallel hands-on workshops on an MCP server for literary data, WhisperX transcription, running local language models, and peer review in the AI era.
The afternoon closes with a panel. Registration is open until 15 October, after which further applications join a waiting list. The official programme lists CharitéCrossOver on Campus Charité Mitte as the venue. Attendees should confirm eligibility and any childcare arrangements with the organiser.
