About this event

A full-day technical gathering at Merantix AI Campus for engineers, researchers and applied scientists, with keynotes on materials science AI and AI security, three panels on world models, small language models and post-transformer architectures, plus demos.

DevDay is Merantix's annual day for people building AI rather than commissioning it. The programme runs across the full stack, from architectures and training methods through evaluation to deployment, with applications in biology, robotics, climate and materials science.

Keynotes come from Pepe Marquez of Cusp AI on AI infrastructure for materials science, and Rod Beckstrom, former ICANN CEO, on AI security and decentralised defence.

Three panels are scheduled, on world models, small language models and post-transformer architectures. Confirmed participants include Martin Genzel of Merantix Momentum, Selim Nowicki of distil labs, Prof. Gerard de Melo of HPI, Noah Hollmann of PrioLabs, and Florian Wenzel and Carl-Johann Simon-Gabriel of Mirelo. A CTO roundtable covers agentic software development, alongside product demos from portfolio teams including Mobilerun and Revel8.

Attendance is open to the Merantix portfolio ecosystem, with a limited number of external places filled by application. The exact address is confirmed to registrants.
