Open Lab Evening: AI for Climate
About this event
A free, hands-on youth workshop in Berlin-Köpenick where participants explore AI for conservation and train a simple image-recognition prototype to distinguish healthy from damaged forests.
This practical evening workshop uses a climate-conservation scenario to introduce artificial intelligence. Participants work as an interdisciplinary research team, investigate an ecosystem challenge and build a first idea for an AI system that can distinguish healthy forests from damaged ones.
The session includes an introduction to AI applications and a hands-on image-recognition exercise using GenAI Teachable Machine. It is held in German, is designed for participants aged 14 and up, and does not require prior knowledge. A free ticket is required and places are limited to 30; remaining tickets may be available at the door if the listing is not sold out.
