About this event
An in-person Aventura working session for eligible information-security leaders, focused on building AI governance committees, applying the NIST AI RMF, and communicating AI initiatives to executives and boards.
IANS brings information-security leaders together in Aventura for a practical peer exchange on putting AI governance into operation. Faculty member Summer Craze Fowler leads discussion and working exercises for people responsible for governing AI projects and embedded AI capabilities in their organizations.
The session covers reporting structures and operating practices for an AI governance committee, drafting the elements of a usable committee charter, and using the NIST AI Risk Management Framework to evaluate AI initiatives. Participants will also develop a practical structure for briefing executives or a board on AI work and its associated decisions.
