Free, beginner-friendly Lakeside workshop examining what artificial general intelligence means, how it differs from today’s tools, and the potential effects on work, relationships and everyday life.
AI Safety Awareness Group San Diego hosts this public workshop at the San Diego County Library in Lakeside. It offers a non-technical introduction to the idea of artificial general intelligence, separating the concept from the AI systems people use today.
The session considers how a broader shift in capability could affect employment, relationships and ordinary routines. It is designed for people who want a grounded discussion without prior technical knowledge, and includes space to examine competing forecasts and questions about what comes next.
