WTIA AI 101: What It Is, What It Isn't, and Why It Matters Here
About this event
A plain-English Seattle AI Week introduction to what AI tools do well, where they fall short and how to assess the claims around them. Designed for people who want useful context before the rest of the week’s programming.
WTIA presents this Seattle AI Week session for people who want a grounded starting point before diving into more specialised AI programming. The event focuses on what AI is, how the commonly discussed tools work at a practical level, what they do well, and their limits.
No technical background or laptop is required. It is intended to make the week’s terminology and claims easier to evaluate, with room for questions from attendees. The official listing places the session at Labour Temple in Belltown from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, October 26. Registration is available through Luma.
Organized by
Washington's technology industry association. WTIA convenes founders, technologists, employers and public-sector leaders through statewide programs, including Seattle AI Week.
