GovCIO 2026 AI Summit
About this event
A day at the Hyatt Regency Tysons on federal AI deployment, with Alexis Bonnell of OpenAI for Government, panels on agents, infrastructure and governance, agency use case lightning rounds and the Flywheel Awards.
GovCIO Media and Research runs its annual AI Summit at the Hyatt Regency in Tysons, built around what federal agencies have actually put into production.
The programme opens with a fireside on AI policy and implementation, followed by panels on AI agents, scaling infrastructure and governance. Lightning rounds run through agency AI use cases, and a separate fireside covers the Department of Energy's Genesis Mission. Additional sessions address procurement modernisation and AI security.
Speakers include Alexis Bonnell, Head of AI Adoption and Deployment at OpenAI for Government; Mallory Sword Glenn of Okta on AI agents; and Tim Freestone of Kiteworks. The day also presents the Flywheel Awards recognising federal AI leaders.
Note the date carefully: this runs on November 6, after daylight saving ends, so times are Eastern Standard. Registration is free for .gov and .mil addresses, 50 dollars for academia and 499 dollars for industry. Up to five CPE credits are available.
Organized by
