Takeoff 2026

About this event

A three-day Washington conference for public servants, AI researchers, builders and civil-society voices to debate how society should govern increasingly capable AI systems.

Takeoff is a Washington conference built around substantive discussion of AI governance, rather than a single-track lecture program. Panels, debates, workshops, technical briefings and smaller conversations bring together public servants, frontier-AI researchers and builders, academics, journalists and civil-society leaders.

The published schedule spans November 13 through 15 at The LINE DC, with Friday afternoon through Sunday evening programming. The calendar uses a provisional 9:00 AM start window because the organizer has not released daily hours. The official attendee application is open and reviewed on a rolling basis. An invitation is required before a private registration link is issued.
