RunDiffusion Workshop: Generative AI for Design Visualization

WorkshopIntermediateDevelopersBusiness

About this event

A hands-on Loop workshop on using generative AI to turn early design concepts and annotations into renderings, visualizations and animated storytelling, including prompt technique and plugin integration with Revit, Rhino and SketchUp.

Part of Chicago Innovate's week of AEC technology programming, this four and a half hour workshop is a working session on generative AI for design visualization.

The practical focus is converting rough early-stage material, concepts and marked-up annotations, into compelling visualizations, renderings and animated storytelling sequences. Rather than treating image generation as a novelty, the session works through the parts that determine whether it survives contact with a real project:

  • Image editing and iterative design exploration, refining an output instead of rerolling it.
  • Prompt development as a repeatable technique.
  • Integration with the tools already in the stack, through third-party plugins for Revit, Photoshop, Rhino, SketchUp and Miro.
  • Keeping creative control and design intent intact while the model does the rendering work.

Aimed at architects, designers and computational design practitioners who want the workflow rather than the pitch. Useful to a broader Chicago AI audience as a concrete look at how diffusion models are actually being wired into professional production tooling.

Runs 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm at 25 East Washington in the Loop. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, and the workshop is also bundled into Chicago Innovate's Symposium plus Workshop and Full Week passes.
