A free, beginner-friendly Skokie workshop on current AI systems, their likely effects on work and society, and the risks that deserve public attention.
AI Safety Awareness Group Chicago hosts an accessible public workshop about the current pace of AI progress and how it could affect everyday life. The discussion is designed for people without a technical background and includes live demonstrations and participatory forecasting exercises.
Topics on the published agenda include work and employment, AI-enabled scams and crime, human relationships with AI companions, and how leading researchers think about the next several years.
