Engineering leaders from Alan and Swile discuss moving AI from experimentation to real deployment inside engineering organisations. Joint Tech.Rocks and Dev With AI evening, capped at 100 people.
A joint evening between the Tech.Rocks engineering leadership community and the Dev With AI community, on the gap between running AI experiments and actually deploying AI across an engineering organisation.
Two pairs of speakers present from inside their own companies. Julien Femia and Camille Marini, both Directors of Engineering at Alan, cover one side. Djamel Zouaoui, VP Engineering at Swile, and Julian Le Calvez, Staff Engineer at Swile, cover the other.
The session is framed as an unfiltered discussion rather than a polished conference talk: the critical decisions each team faced, the obstacles they hit, the mistakes worth avoiding, and what actually drives sustainable adoption across engineering teams. The pairing of a tech leader with an AI champion in each company is the deliberate structure of the evening.
