AI Token Economics Hackathon

About this event

A two-week team hackathon on reducing the real cost of building and running AI systems, covering token optimisation, prompt efficiency and model cost reduction, closing with an in-person finale in Seattle on October 3.

Seattle Data, AI and Security runs this hackathon around a question that has become unavoidable for anyone shipping AI in production: how do you reduce the real cost of building and running these systems?

Project themes are token optimisation, prompt efficiency, model cost reduction and sustainable AI product economics. Teams of two to four people work over a two-week build window from September 12 to September 26. The organisers are targeting AI engineers, developers, data scientists, students, researchers and product builders, so teams tend to mix skill sets.

The build phase runs remotely, and the event closes with an in-person finale in Seattle on October 3 at City University of Seattle on Wall Street in Belltown, where teams present their work.

Registration is required through a link on the event page. No fee is stated on the listing, so confirm the cost with the organisers before committing a team. Hosted by Padma A. Note that this is a hybrid format: if you want the in-person element, the October 3 finale is the date to hold.
