AI Discussion Club hosts author Khaled Koubaa at West End Neighborhood Library for a conversation about keeping meaningful human oversight as AI systems increasingly advise, automate and act across institutions.
AI Discussion Club convenes this Saturday-morning author talk with Khaled Koubaa, whose book examines the accountability gap that can emerge when AI systems advise, decide, automate and act at institutional scale.
The discussion focuses on the difference between nominal human involvement and genuine human oversight: whether people can see, question and stop automated decisions in time. Koubaa brings a technology-policy and governance background spanning digital trust, internet governance and AI oversight.
The official schedule lists welcome and introductions from 10:30 AM, the book talk from 10:50 to 11:40, and audience questions through noon. A few book copies are expected to be available. The optional lunch afterward at Ten Ten West End is separate from the library event.
The gathering is free and designed for AI practitioners, founders, students and researchers interested in AI’s societal and governance implications.
