MeetupFreeAll levelsGeneralBusinessResearchers

About this event

New York Times technology journalist Kevin Roose discusses his new account of the race toward artificial general intelligence, followed by audience questions and a reception at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center.

Johns Hopkins University’s Authors & Insights series brings New York Times technology journalist Kevin Roose to the Bloomberg Center for a conversation on his new book, The AGI Chronicles.

Roose examines the competition to build artificial general intelligence, drawing on interviews and reporting involving OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, and the people shaping the current AI race. The evening is designed for a broad public audience rather than a technical workshop, with an audience Q&A and reception after the talk.

The event is free and held in person at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Registration is required. Signed books may be available for purchase before and after the program.
