STATION DC AI Open Roundtable

MeetupFreeIntermediateDevelopersBusinessResearchers

About this event

A morning roundtable in NoMa for founders, engineers, policymakers and investors working in applied AI, covering production ML, model evaluation, MLOps, public sector deployment and responsible AI, followed by open networking.

STATION DC runs a weekly cycle of themed Tuesday roundtables, and this is the AI-specific one.

The roundtable runs from 10:00 to 11:00 with networking from 11:00 to 12:00. Topics span the applied end of the field: production machine learning, foundation models, computer vision, natural language processing, model evaluation, MLOps and edge AI, alongside the questions particular to this city, meaning public sector and regulated deployments, procurement, moving pilots into production, responsible AI and model risk, and federal AI initiatives.

The recurring theme is getting AI out of demos and into real deployment, which given the attendee mix of founders, engineers, policymakers and investors makes for a more grounded conversation than a purely technical or purely policy room.

Free to attend, and no STATION DC membership is required. Workspace, wifi and conference rooms are available to attendees.
